It’s called an albatross in golf -- making a double eagle on a par five. It’s tougher than a hole in one, and Alex Ramsey of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame pulled it off on Wednesday at Griffith Park’s Wilson course during the Mission League individual finals.
On the par-five first hole during a playoff to decide a berth in the Southern Section individual competition, Ramsey made his second shot from 225 yards. Cheers erupted.
Ramsey’s teammate, Dylan Crowley, won the two-day event with rounds of 67 and 70.
