Baseball: It’s Gretzky vs. Garvey

The paparazzi will be out en force for the Division 4 semifinal between Westlake Village Oaks Christian and host Palm Desert on Tuesday. Oaks Christian has Trevor Gretzky, the son of Wayne Gretzky. Palm Desert has Ryan Garvey, the son of Steve Garvey.

The fathers will be probably the two most nervous people in the stands. The game is expected to be played at College of the Desert.

Palm Desert is seeded No. 1 but has been involved in a series of close playoff wins. And waiting to pitch for Oaks Christian is ace Travis Radke, who’s 11-1. It should be a terrific game.
