Baseball: Cardona gets out of bases-loaded jam

Jose Cardona of El Camino Real looks to be getting tired, but he was able to get Carlos Robles to fly out with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth. It’s El Camino Real 1, San Fernando 1, with the Conquistadores coming up against David Lira in the bottom of the eighth.

Update: At the end of eight innings, it’s still 1-1. And El Camino Real has brought in a new pitcher in the ninth, left-hander A.J. Silberman. Cardona made 119 pitches. He struck out seven, walked one and gave up six hits.
