Baseball: Chatsworth is headed to Dodger Stadium

Chatsworth earned a trip to Dodger Stadium and the chance to play for a 10th City Section Division I baseball championship with a 4-1 semifinal victory over Birmingham.

Angel Rodriguez (9-1) threw 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief. The Chancellors overcame a 1-0 deficiit by taking advantage of three hit batters by Birmingham pitcher Kevin Torres to start the fifth inning to score two runs, then added two more in the sixth.

Chatsworth (24-5) was limited to four hits but will play the winner of El Camino Real-San Fernando in Saturday’s 2 p.m. final.
