Baseball: Chatsworth, West Ranch, Crespi off to strong starts

The VIBL is entering week No. 3 of the summer season, and Chatsworth (6-0) and West Ranch (6-0) are both unbeaten, but a surprise team is Crespi (7-1), which failed to make the playoffs last season.
Nick Morton and Vince Leoni turned in strong pitching performances this past week for the Celts.
Chatsworth’s success also might be considered a surprise, because the Chancellors don’t return any of their top pitchers. They are playing the summer under the team recognized as Valley North.
