It never ceases to amaze me, the ideas that people come up with -- such as the one in Florida, where $10,000 will go to the high school team that wins a seven-on-seven summer football competition, with the money to be turned over to the school booster club. And $5,000 goes to the second-place team.

Why not create a $50,000 competition? Has anyone figured out that high school athletes are supposed to be amateurs, not professional?
