Baseball: Milwaukee Brewers announce Area Code roster

The Milwaukee Brewers have announced their final roster of Southern California players selected for the Area Code Games next month at Blair Field in Long Beach.

Leading the team are pitchers Lucas Giolito (Harvard-Westlake), Chase DeJong (Long Beach Wilson), Max Fried (Montclair Prep), Justin Garza (Bonita), Cole Irvin (Servite), Hunter Virant (Camarillo), Shane Watson (Lakewood), Felipe Perez (Fairmont Prep) and Kyle Twomey (El Dorado).

Standouts Ty Moore from Mater Dei and Rio Ruiz from Bishop Amat also are on the team.
