Football: Coaches need to be aware of heat issues

With football practices beginning and the weather heating up, the National Athletic Trainers’ Assn. has guidelines for sports safety.

On Saturday, a 14-year-old South Carolina high school football player collapsed and died following a morning practice. The temperature reached 101 by the afternoon.
