Football: Four teams that can be much improved

As football practice begins this month, beware of four schools that had losing records last season but return lots of players eager to turn things around.

Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills went 4-6 but had leads over Tesoro, Dana Hills and San Clemente. The team returns 18 starters and could be a factor in the South Coast League.

Los Angeles Loyola, at 3-7, and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, at 2-8, both showed signs during the summer of young players getting better.

Lake Balboa Birmingham was 2-8 but the Patriots could be the team to beat in the West Valley League.
