Former West Hills Chaminade and Cal State Dominguez Hills player Kevin Pillar has the second-best batting average in the Appalacian League at .349.

Pillar had a 54-game hitting streak last season for Dominguez Hills. Pillar was drafted in the 32nd round by the Toronto Blue Jays.
