Let’s all say thank you to the coaches and administrators from Los Angeles Loyola and Studio City Harvard-Westlake, because they have agreed to move their two Mission League basketball games this coming season to neutral sites, which will allow a lot more fans to attend the games.

Last season, the fire marshal came out at Harvard-Westlake because of an overflow crowd. The game at Loyola was sold out by 4:30 p.m.

‘The most important thing is safety,’ Loyola Coach Jamal Adams said.

Both schools are going to be loaded with talent this coming season. Loyola is trying to finalize playing its Jan. 13 game at Los Angeles Roybal or another site with a large gym. Harvard-Westlake is still looking for a site for its Feb. 3 home game against the Cubs.

‘It should be two great games,’ Adams said.

Loyola returns Julian Harrell, who has scholarship offers from St. Mary’s and San Diego. The Cubs have the best group of guards in Southern California. Harvard-Westlake has the imposing duo of Zena Edosomwan and Josh Hearlihy.

All summer, players from both teams were talking about the games ahead. I can’t wait to get my seat.
