I can say without hestitation that Ventura St. Bonaventure and West Hills Chaminade are legitimate top 25 teams after watching them scrimmage Wednesday night at Chaminade.

St. Bonaventure is going to have a balanced offense and has some hard hitters on defense. Chaminade is going to score lots of points behind versatile quarterback Logan Scott.

Among the impressive players was St. Bonaventure receiver Jordan Farris, a standout baseball player who has returned to football after not playing since his sophomore year. Receiver Elijah Dunston caught two TD passes from Scott. Terrell Newby of Chaminade broke off a long run.

St. Bonaventure opens against Corona Centennial next week while Chaminade faces Venice.
