I know Serra League fans are feeling good on the day after Friday’s season openers in which all five Serra League teams won.

But looking ahead, two of the teams won’t make the Pac-5 Division playoffs, and that’s hard to take.

Just don’t ask me who doesn’t make the playoffs, because there are five very good teams.

Alemany had a 55-0 win over Pasadena. Devon Dunn passed for 241 yards and three touchdowns.

Crespi defeated Compton Dominguez, 48-6. Cody Cordell passed for 197 yards and three touchdowns.

Loyola opened with a 28-14 win over Mira Costa. Kodi Whitfield had two touchdowns.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame ended Gardena Serra’s 36-game regular-season winning streak with a 35-13 win.

Bishop Amat defeated Garfield, 14-0, while trying out a new quarterback, because Rio Ruiz will miss three games playing baseball this fall.

Look for all five teams to be in The Times’ top 25 next week.
