Football: South Coast League is looking good

With San Clemente and Trabuco Hills off to 2-0 starts, and Mission Viejo and Tesoro considered powerful teams, the South Coast League is looking very strong in the Pac-5 Division.

Sunset League teams Fountain Valley and Newport Harbor were beaten by San Clemente and Trabuco Hills.

So far, the South Coast teams are showing an ability to run the football. Trabuco Hills received 208 yards rushing from Mitchell Simonsen on Thursday night. And San Clemente’s Mike Elespuro rushed for 148 yards. Then there’s Nick Tago of Tesoro and Jahleel Pinner of Mission Viejo.
