Football: Muir coach placed on leave after scuffle with student

Pasadena Muir Coach Ken Howard did not coach his team on Friday against Arcadia because he was placed on administrative leave after a scuffle with a student, according to a report by the Pasadena Star-News.

Howard was helping search the campus for a student who reportedly was armed with a weapon.

‘The kid was resisting,’ Howard told the newspaper. ‘I told him to sit in his seat and it got physical. I wrapped the kid up and escorted him from the classroom.’
