Baseball: An 818 oddity in the major leagues

When the Milwaukee Brewers took on the Florida Marlins late last month, there was a rare reunion of sorts for players who used to play their high school ball in the San Fernando Valley.

There were two players each from three different high schools. The Brewers had Ryan Braun and Kameron Loe from Granada Hills High. The Marlins had Mike Stanton and Brett Hayes from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and Matt Dominguez and Bryan Petersen from Chatsworth.

And the Brewers had Randy Wolf from Woodland Hills El Camino Real.
