There’s still two weeks to go before Dorsey (6-1) plays Crenshaw (4-2) for the Coliseum League championship on Nov. 3 at Crenshaw, but both teams are revving up their offenses in a big way.

Crenshaw has scored 54, 61, 67 and 67 points in its last four games, and De’Anthony Thomas isn’t on the team. There’s a new, improving group of young players starting to wreak havoc, and that’s trouble for the rest of the City Section, because people have forgotten that Crenshaw is the two-time defending Division I champion.

Mossi Johnson, Earl Glinton and Dominque Hatfield are a few of the new Crenshaw names about to become well known.

Dorsey finally got its offense in high gear last week with a 46-6 win over Manual Arts. Quarterback Reggie Bell passed for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Jaydon Mickens caught touchdown passes of 15 and 65 yards.

All signs point toward a terrific matchup on Nov. 3.
