No. 12-seeded Bell upset No. 4 Jefferson, 17-7, in a first-round game of the City Section Division II football playoffs.
Eric Franco had a one-yard touchdown run and passed 61 yards to Keith Blackstone for another touchdown. Bell (5-6) also received a 47-yard field goal from Ivan Martinez.
Marshall defeated Santee, 37-6, after the game was halted at halftime when Santee could not come up with emergency cards after a player had been injured.
Marshall refunded half of the ticket price of $10 to fans because the game lasted only one half.
