Boys’ basketball: Westlake gets Marmonte win over Thousand Oaks

Westlake Village Westlake (5-1, 2-0) received 23 points from Grant Lozoya to defeat Thousand Oaks, 67-59, at Thousand Oaks on Thursday night in a Marmonte League game. Josh Brooks added 17 points.
Royal defeated Moorpark, 55-49. Max McCoy scored 17 points. Royal is 6-4 overall and 1-1 in the Marmonte League.
Etiwanda continued its impressive early season play with a 78-28 win over Claremont. Jordan McLaughin had 12 points, Brandon Townes 11 and Darryl Adigwu 11.
Santa Monica defeated Valencia, 59-43. Jordan Mathews scored 28 points and had 12 rebounds. Santa Monica is 6-3.
