There must be some kind of parity in the City Section this season, because one of the favorites, Fairfax, barely survived its Western League game against University on Wednesday. The Lions needed a layup from Landon Drew at the buzzer to beat University, 46-44.

Brendyn Taylor, in his return to action for Fairfax, scored nine points. Malik Spears led all scorers with 12 points for University.
