Girls’ soccer: Granada Hills forfeits quarterfinal victory

Another day, another controversy in City Section soccer. The Granada Hills girls’ team has forfeited its quarterfinal victory over Chatsworth because of an ineligible player.

Chatsworth will move on to a semifinal match against El Camino Real on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at El Camino Real.

Granada Hills self-reported the violation.

Earlier, Foshay was pulled from the small schools boys’ playoffs after its head coach received a red card, ending the playoff match under City Section rules.
