Girls’ basketball: Alemany leads 21-18 at halftime

Despite being outscored 11-9 in the second quarter, Alemany is ahead of Laguna Hills, 21-18, at halftime of the Southern Section Division 3AA championship game in Anaheim.

Guard Hannah Johnson and forward Adaora Obi each have six points to lead Alemany, which is shooting 33.3% from the field and has scored nine points off turnovers.

Senior forward Celia Marfone leads the Lady Hawks with nine points and seven rebounds and us beginning to find the range from the perimeter. Laguna Hills made 5 of 19 shots in the first half.
