Boys’ basketball: Pasadena wins 3AAA championship

Coach Tim Tucker has successfully guided Pasadena (25-6) to the Southern Section 3AAA championship with a 50-35 victory over Arroyo Grande at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Brandon Jolley scored 18 points and Blake Hamilton had 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Arroyo Grande (22-9), which eliminated top-seeded Damien during the playoffs, got 12 points from Brent VanderVeen and 11 from Matt Willkomm.

Pasadena’s defense produced 21 Arroyo Grande turnovers.
