Boys’ basketball: Battle of the Valley is set for April 28

The Battle of the Valley All-Star game is set for Saturday, April 28 at Pierce College at 7:30 p.m.
Canyon’s Chad Phillips will coach the West team, with Alemany’s Tray Meeks coaching the East team.
Among the players selected for the West are Taft’s Anthony January, Brandon Perry and Steven Jones, Canyon’s Coley Apsay and Clay Kasdorf, Oaks Christian’s Chass Bryan and Royal’s JR Powell.
Leading the East selections are Alemany’s Marqueze Coleman and Max Guercy, Campbell Hall’s Cole Huff, Harvard-Westlake’s Josh Hearlihy and Grant’s Gor Plavchyan.
