Girls’ basketball: Laguna Hills holds 59-54 lead

After three quarters, Laguna Hills has a 59-54 lead over San Diego Mission Bay in the Division III Southern California Regional girls’ final at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Three times in the third quarter, Laguna Hills opened nine-point leads. The Lady Hawks kept finding openings in Mission Bay’s defense and scoring on shots close to the basket after breaking the pressure defense or getting offensive rebounds.
