Santa Margarita to host Special Olympics swim meet

More than 70 Santa Margarita swimmers are helping to put on the school’s third annual Special Olympics swim meet on Saturday, March 31 at the school.
They will serve as personal coaches for about 50 special needs athletes from the Irvine Eagles, Fullerton Sharks and Rio-Aquatics swim clubs.
‘We hope this meet gives these athletes a chance to shine,’ Santa Margarita Coach Ron Blanc said.
