Let there be no doubt who is the best player in California basketball. It’s 6-foot-8 junior Aaron Gordon of San Jose Archbishop Mitty.
What a performance for Gordon on Friday night in the Division II state championship game in Sacramento. He scored 33 points and had 20 rebounds in Mitty’s 78-57 victory over Carlsbad La Costa Canyon.
David Travers had 22 points for La Costa Canyon.
