Second-team choices were Ralph Harvey Jr. of Washington, Maleke Haynes of El Camino Real, Michael Thomas of El Camino Real, Mathew Grant of Westchester, Brendyn Taylor of Fairfax, Andre Edwards of Crenshaw, Jesus Chiquete of Bell, Joe Joaquin of Garfield, Kalin Barber of Dorsey, Terrell Funches of Chatsworth, Travis Wilson of Grant, Tony Ingram of Carson and Kris Yanku of Taft.

Richadson was named City Division II player of year and Mychal Deas of Bell was named Division III player of the year.

The coaches also picked separate Division I, II and III teams. They will be posted at the City Section website later today.

Comment: How Edwards, Yanku and Taylor were left off first-team All-City is mind boggling. Yes, it’s good to get many teams represented, but isn’t the first priority to pick the best players off the best teams?
