Stockton Brookside Christian outscored San Luis Obispo Mission Prep 23-11 in the second quarter to take a 35-28 halftime lead in the CIF state Division V final at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.

Bri Harvey has eight points but was held scoreless in the second quarter while Kaylee Williams and Jenna Dunbar each have six points for Southern Section Divsion 5AA champion Mission Prep, which is looking to extend its 29-game winning streak. The Royals are 0-6 in state championship games.

Sophomore point guard Tiara Tucker has 14 points for the Sac-Joaquin Section champion Knights, who are showing no signs of nerves despite making their first state finals appearance.
