Vince Oliver, another promising young assistant coach from Los Angeles Loyola, is the choice to become the next basketball coach at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. It’s not official until he signs a contract after the Easter break.

It’s a terrific choice for the Knights. He played at Loyola and UC Davis and has trained under Loyola Coach Jamal Adams, who did a pretty good job preparing another Loyola assistant, Ryan Bailey, who just completed his first year at Brentwood.

He has an outstanding positive demeanor and would seem to fit in well at Notre Dame. The only question is his lack of head coach experience, but Notre Dame is taking the plunge in picking a young coach with lots of promise to build a program in a tough league.
