First-year Orange Lutheran Coach Chuck Petersen has hired former Georgia Tech offensive line coach Todd Spencer to become an assistant coach with the Lancers.

Spencer resigned in February after an internal Georgia Tech monitoring system revealed he had sent text messages in violation of NCAA rules.

Petersen’s other major hire is former Santa Margarita Coach Mike Jacot to be defensive coordinator.

Two top Orange Lutheran assistants, Bruce Thomas and Dee Meza, will continue with the program as assistant coaches.
