Baseball: Arcadia takes over first place in Pacific League

A squeeze bunt in the sixth inning enabled Arcadia to pull out a 1-0 victory over Crescenta Valley in a battle for first place in the Pacific League.

Erik Trask struck out nine and allowed two hits. Arcadia improved to 15-3 and 6-0. Crescenta Valley dropped to 13-5 and 5-1.

Kyle Murray pitched six innings for the Falcons, striking out nine.

Burbank defeated Burroughs, 3-0, on a three-hitter by Daniel Starkland.
