Track & Field: Upland’s Daniel wins Open high jump

Kyle Moore of Clovis West cleared six feet, two inches to capture the boys Open high jump title while Skyler Daniel of Upland won the girls Open and seeded high jump divisions with a height of 5’ 2’ at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut.

Gregory Salazar of Los Angeles Cathedral won the boys seeded long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 10 inches and Daniel Yeager of Hacienda Heights Los Altos cleared 6’ 6’ to win the boys Open high jump by two inches. Temecula Great Oak’s Nick Ponzio won the boys seeded shot put with a throw of 55’ 11.50’ and Julia Wildenthaler of Torrey Pines won the girls seeded triple jump with a distance of 36 feet, 2.25 inches.

Ventura’s Eric Beilke won the boys seeded discus with a throw of 163 feet, two inches. Zoe Goss from Chatsworth Sierra Canyon won the girls seeded long jump with a distance of 18’ 6’ and Palos Verdes’ Rachel Suuaava won the girls seeded shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 2.25 inches. Tiffany Gilmore of Downey won the girls seeded discus with a throw of 122 feet, 8 inches.
