Baseball: Myles Hager hits two home runs in Chaminade win

West Hills Chaminade received two home runs from Myles Hager in a 6-3 Mission League victory over Los Angeles Loyola on Tuesday. Kevin Lewallyn produced a strikeout with the bases loaded in the seventh to preserve the victory.

Harvard-Westlake defeated St. Francis, 10-2, with a seven-run sixth innning. Joe Corrigan had two hits and three RBIs. Max Fried and Arden Pabst added two hits apiece. David Olmedo-Barreral had two hits for St. Francis, including an RBI triple.

In the Trinity League, Orange Lutheran stayed in first place with a 5-1 win over St. John Bosco. Art Vidrio struck out seven and walked none in a complete-game performaance. Jason Martin contributed three RBIs.

In the Channel League, Dos Pueblos came away with a 1-0 win over Buena to move two games ahead in the league race. Santa Barbara defeated Ventura, 3-2, on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh. Sophomore Gabe Grandcolas threw a five-hitter, retiring 12 consecutive batters to end the game.

Bonita improved to 23-1 and 9-0 in the Hacienda League with a 12-3 win over Los Altos. Justin Garza (8-1) pitched six innings. Justin Row went four for five with two doubles and a grand slam. Garza and Thomas Castro each had three hits.

Cathedral defeated Mary Star, 8-2. Freshman pitchers Henry Martinez and Bryan Duenas combined on a four-hitter. Mike Palos had three hits.

In the Western League, Palisades defeated Hamilton, 5-0, for its 10th consecutive victory. Harrison Simon struck out 12.

Burbank defeated Pasadena, 12-2, in a five-inning no-hitter by Andrew Hernandez.

Milken defeated Santa Clarita Christian, 10-0, behind Jordan Ross, who threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts. Sierra Canyon defeated Kilpatrick, 11-0. Jake Fried had two hits.
