Boys’ volleyball: Loyola pulls even in Division 1 final

Top-seeded Loyola has come back to tie tonight’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 final against third-seeded Mira Costa.

The Cubs held a slim 21-20 lead before reeling off four of the last five points to pull even in the best-of-five match. After having little to cheer about for the first two sets the Loyola fans are going crazy and it should be a wild finish.

The fifth and decisive set will be to 15 points, not 25, so whichever team can get off to a fast start will likely prevail.
