Football: Hart wins Crescenta Valley tournament

With sophomore to be Trent Irwin and junior to be Wes Fitzpatrick starring at receiver, Newhall Hart won the Crescenta Valley passing tournament on Saturday.
The Indians beat Valencia in the championship game, winning on the final play. Coach Mike Herrington played two quarterbacks, Connor Wingenroth and sophomore to be Brady White, who took advantage of five underclassmen at receiver.
Irwin is emerging as a standout.
‘He’s unbelievable,’ Herrington said.
Valencia received a strong performance from defensive back Tedric Thompson.
