Scott Drootin, who built competitive baseball teams at Calabasas, Chaminade, Newbury Park and Golden Valley, has been approached about becoming the coach at Woodland Hills Taft.

Drootin has been head coach at Golden Valley for four years, but Taft is 10 minutes from where he lives. He’s expected to make a final decision later this week.
