At Pico Rivera El Rancho, running with the ball is a passion.
Last week in a 57-48 win over Montebello, Johnny Garcia gained 237 yards in 16 carries. But he was topped by teammate Joey Sanchez, a quarterback who rushed for 318 yards in 15 carries to set a school record.
Sanchez had touchdown runs of 44, 1, 21 and 53 yards.
El Rancho is 3-1.
