Billy Ashley, who was a professional baseball player for 13 years, including 10 years in the Dodgers organization, has been hired as baseball coach at Westlake.

He replaces Zach Miller, who was fired last week.

Ashley was coaching JV softball at Westlake. Former major leaguers Todd Zeile, Eric Karros and Mike Leiberthal were present on Monday to support Ashley when he was presented to parents. They will not be assistants.
