Baseball: Mater Dei is No. 1 in national poll

Santa Ana Mater Dei has taken over the No. 1 spot in the Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association Top 25.

Harvard-Westlake is ranked No. 2.

Mater Dei defeated Harvard-Westlake in the championship game of the National High School Invitational in North Carolina two weeks ago.

Fountain Valley is No. 24.

Mater Dei is also ranked No. 1 in the high school rankings by Collegiate Baseball.
