Four proposals to form new football leagues beginning in 2014 failed to get majority votes from 26 schools of the Catholic Athletic Assn. meeting on Wednesday and were rejected.

That means new proposals can be submitted for the next meeting scheduled for May 7.

The big hang ups were where to place Oaks Christian and St. Bonaventure, whether Serra and Chaminade should be placed in Division 1 leagues and whether there should be leagues made up of four, five or six teams.
