Senior guard Lewis Stallworth scored 24 points and junior guard Myles Franklin had 10 points to help Newhall Hart defeat Westchester, 58-49, in a gold division semifinal game of the Watts Summer Games on Sunday at Dorsey.
Hart will play Compton in Saturday’s 1 p.m. championship game at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Hart defeated Redondo in the quarterfinals. Westchester defeated Sylmar. Compton defeated Gahr in its semifinal.
Myles Stewart led Westchester with 14 points. The Comets were missing several players. Hart will probably have to play next week’s final without several of its football players who will be busy in a summer passing tournament.
