E. Christian Schoenleb, president of Phoenix-based Swensen’s Inc., a chain of ice cream parlors, resigned, apparently in a disagreement with the company’s board. Schoenleb said in a statement: “I leave Swensen’s with great regret. It’s unfortunate that the new board and I could not agree upon the future of the company.” He could not be reached for further comment.

Chairman Karl Eller said Patrick J. Doughty, currently senior vice president and chief financial officer, will be acting president while the board searches for a permanent replacement.
