El Salvador’s government and leftist guerrillas will meet later this month for a third round of peace talks aimed at ending the country’s five-year-old civil war, Archbishop Arturo Rivera y Damas said. The prelate, who helped mediate the first talks between the two sides Oct. 15 and a second set Nov. 30, gave no details on where or on what day the meeting will be held. A third session planned over the Christmas holidays was canceled.
