Democratic National Chairman Charles T. Manatt has endorsed another Californian, former state party chairman Nancy Pelosi, to succeed him when his term ends Feb. 1. In a letter to national committee members, Manatt called Pelosi’s background as a fund-raiser and party supporter “unsurpassed.”
