‘Poverty Is Not as Bad Here’

Share

One couldn’t disagree with Wattenberg more. Poverty is in fact on the rise in America. A lot of it is the result of 8 million people experiencing long-term unemployment.

One must wonder where these fellows from the American Enterprise Institute live? They obviously don’t see the bag ladies rummaging through the trash cans for God knows what, and the homeless people who live in our parks.

Hopefully, most people will reject these mean-spirited attacks on the bishops’ pastoral letter on poverty. JIM SNOWDEN
