The Fremont, Calif., maker of personal computers said it will emerge from bankruptcy court protection Jan. 18. The one-time high-flying company, which in the spring of 1981 introduced the first portable computer, filed to reorganize on Sept. 13, 1983. In November, the company introduced two portables--the Vixen and the Osborne 3--which the company says are now being shipped.
