A Hawaiian Gardens bank was held up by a young woman whose description closely resembled those given in three other robberies at Southern California financial institutions since Dec. 31. As in the earlier robberies, FBI spokesman John Hoos said, no gun was displayed. But the woman told a Bank of America clerk to “give me all your money or you’ll be shot.” The woman has been dubbed “the Bag Lady” by investigators, Hoos said, because in each case she has carried away stolen cash in a purse. Witnesses to the 1 p.m. Hawaiian Gardens holdup described the robber as 25 to 30 years old, with shoulder-length hair, wearing jeans, tennis shoes and a red jacket --and carrying a purse.
