A man believed to have defrauded three banks in Sacramento and Virginia of $825,000 was arrested while trying to withdraw money from an account at a Pasadena bank, the FBI said. Nathan John Phillips, 25, who has no known address, is suspected of using phony businesses to make unauthorized charges on other people’s Visa and MasterCard accounts, FBI spokesman Fred Reagan said. The alleged bogus charges were discovered by two banks in Virginia and one in Sacramento, Reagan said. Phillips was nabbed at a Security Pacific Bank in Pasadena.
