Al DeVito, chairman of the Fullerton College photography department, has embarked on a yearlong trip around the world with his wife, Barbara, but he will spend most of it on the east coast of Australia teaching at the Capricornia Institute of Advanced Learning in Central Queensland. DeVito is part of an Australia-U.S. teachers exchange that has brought Graham Griffin of Australia to teach at Fullerton College. When DeVito completes his Australia assignment, he and his wife plan to return via Hong Kong, Bangkok, Athens, Cairo, Rome, New York and his home city of Philadelphia. He is the second Fullerton instructor to take part in such a switch; last year, journalism instructor Larry Taylor traded assignments with Shelton A. Gunaratne for a year.
